Well it wasn't exactly the shock of the century when Cheryl Cole today admitted that she's splitting from long term love rat and shamed husband Ashley Cole. Ashley Cole's affairs are now legendary and now with all the stuff with Sonia Wild and him sending her the naked pics and videos it was just too much for Cheryl and she's announced a divorce is on the cards. I guess she wasn't buying his excuse that a friend borrowed his phone and sent on the pics and who can blame here. "Cheryl asks the media to respect her privacy during this difficult time," a statement from her spokesman said. Being a modern relationship, the end came by text. Cheryl Cole, 26, reportedly sent a message at the weekend to Ashley Cole, 29, that said: “Move out. It’s over.” The irony of it. His flirting via text was the final thing that pushed Cheryl over the edge and that's how she dumps him. Yesterday, as she arrived back in England from the US, her PR company confirmed the separation on Twitter. I haven't yet saw this tweet so I'll have to look it up to confirm. I'm really surprised Ashley Cole's naked pics aren't online yet.
So the whole of Britain is now wondering what was going through Ashley Cole's mind to do this on his wife with, get this, a hairdresser, two models, a secretary and a US political aide. Oh and Sonia Wild depending on who's story you believe. The question is almost as puzzling as why did Cheryl take him back after the first time. That was just beyond belief. I'm not even sure what he's making it out to be. Perhaps he's lonely when Cheryl Cole is touring with band Girls Aloud? Nah that's a terrible excuse. Almost as bad as saying your friend was sending naked pics of you around. Cheryl is asking for privacy from the press which you know she's never going to get. The whole marriage has taken place in the public eye. Remember when they sold their wedding pics to OK! magazine for £1.5million? Yeah Cheryl, I'm afraid your divorce is going to be played out in public too.
Maybe Ashley Cole will end up in a sex clinic much like Tiger Woods has? Perhaps he can swap numbers with Vernon Kay after he did pretty much the same thing. His wife is also standing by him. Idiot. Or maybe Ashley Cole will just start living the single life which he's been unable to since he got married. No wait he's been doing that the whole time hasn't he? In any case we'll get the full story every day in the press and on TV. Cheryl will no doubt write a few songs about it. Perhaps even a book about her troubled marriage. She'll find some way to cash in I'm sure. Because that's what people like her too. Ashley is unlikely to make the world cup which is a blow to his career. He might never get a chance to play in another one at his age. I'm sure he can console himself with his bags of money and hairdressers...
